Clear cover is clean after the alcohol and as a bonus, it seems to resists fingerprints now. I wish the keyboard cover was clear with black keys like my last one. I really like that it shows the beautiful aluminium colour and pattern of the macbook.

Pay more or buy a pricier speck case, those are $$$ but last much much longer. Avoid this company for refurbishment. Broke after 6 months of light use. Took it to the apple store for diagnosis, a $600 repair.

If you do not clean the pad however be wary about the pad sticking to your screen and removing itself from the applied surface
