Pros & Cons
Pros
The leg design prevents the chair from sinking into the ground. It also has a wide base so that you don't tip over laterally to sit in. The only trade off is it can make it slightly less stable on certain hard ground situations, but the trade seems wo... Read More
Both directions take little effort as everything is very well machined and things mate and unmate easily. Easy to put together other than the strap installation. Super lightweight and sturdy.
Small enough to fit in an average backpack and very lightweight.
Cons
I weigh 190 and one of the connectors on the bottom broke within the first couple of days of purchase. It’s like small enough for a kindergartener.
Highlights
Quality
Super light, easy to assemble and sturdy for users up to the max weight limit.
Quality, simple and quick to set up.
It is so light weight and is simply to fold up into the pouch.
This one stood out as the only one that is aluminum and low profile making it the lightest chair out there of this type.
Price
Overall money well spent—my traveling companions were super jealous!
I will say it is a little awkward to get in and get out off but its a small price to pay for the comfort after hiking all day.
Time will tell if it’s a durable chair but so far it looks fantastic for the $35 i paid.
Packaging/appearance
If i was climbing 2000' of switchbacks i would leave it at home but for smaller trips it's totally packable.
It was able to pack it in a backpack with other supplies for spending the day on the grass at a music festival.
Once the frame is folded again, you pack it in the included bag, put the seat cover in on top, and zip.
It was kind of bulky in my pack, so i had to deconstruct the chair and divide it amongst my pack.
Competitiveness
These chairs are 1/4 the price of chairs from big name competitors.
So far this seems like a well built chair - a little heavier than the other brands mentioned above but it also feels beefier.
