    They dont really add much functionality except for insulating your lips from the metal of the straw which will quickly become the same temperature of your drink so unless you drink hot drinks or dont like the feeling of cold on your lips when sipping a cold drink they are merely decorative

    I had one issue with this purchase instead of 2 straight and 2 curved long straws i got 3 straight and one curved
