The product is coated in a varnish or something, as it’s a very overpowering smell when you first get it.
I really like the idea and really wish it works like it's designed and meant to do.
It is nice in size and would house a family of birds easily.

Its either the birds wont host in the nest or the sunlight isnt piercing through leaves to the solar panel to power the battery and camera
