Sound quality, volume, and range are great for the price!
In terms of sound output, i would place this in a tie with the amazonbasics speaker.
I'm sure for the most part the mic quality is acceptable, but honestly not as good as the speakerphone option on my phone.
The sound quality was pretty nice too, not studio sound but much better than what i had on my phone.
Competitiveness
I like it and for the cost it’s a great value.
Its not the greatest thing on the earth but you cant beat the price.
Even the ifrogz website does not have a pdf user's guide on their site.
The ifrogz tempo blast also has speakerphone functionality, with a microphone built in to the left side of the unit.

Its blutooth so just make sure you have blutooth turned on pcphonetabletwhatever and hit the one button on this device

You can connect it directly to laptop usb port if you want to power it that way
