I like this version better than the original 1946
If possible though, you want a high-end graphics card, and a large screen.
I also have a win 8 64bit os and had no install or compatibility issues.

Still the wwii flight simulator available all the others have built in faults that make them difficult to run on the average computer

I like clifts of dover but i cant afford right now a powerful computerbut this il2 1946 runs perfect in my windows 7for better results you need to get a good joystick with rudder and the track ir 4 or 5 specially for the dogfights i recomended this sim

After playing for a few days i realized the keyboard and mouse controls are hopelessly awkward for this type of game and you really have to get a flight stick and probably one with a throttle at least
