Pros
Very simple and effective hdd case. Used for backup on a solid state drive (kingston a400) immediately recognized by pc when plugged into usb port. The caddy is generally well made and very sturdy.
The latency is so good, i'm able to record and playback in real time with logic pro daw. Crystaldiskmark confirms the excellent performance.
It works like a charm. Works as expected and fairly priced. Wakes very quickly when accessed again.
Once registered, formatting is as straightforward as ever. Easy fit and secure.
Cons
The device is not very secure as the port sits too far inside the device. May not everybody is aware that ssd should not be defragged but trimmed. It says the drive is write protected but does read data. It works, but so slow.
Case is thin flimsy plastic and drives rattle around inside, even with the foam pads affixed. Deader than a doornail.

The cable is short but adequate and despite what i've read here in other reviews, the quality if the cable is fine.

Competitiveness
I have 2 older inateck enclosures which have been reliable so i got 2 of these new enclosures by inateck.
Runs at usb3 speed and is easy to attach and detach an ssd.
So, my wife's laptop is close to the bin.
The other has a crucial mx500 ssd connected to my raspberry pi.
