0 pcie card to enable two usb 3 ports on this kkmoon dual bay product: kkmoon dual bay 3.
Still very disappointed that the front panel won't work properly.
The product description says: this pci-e card is incompatible with mac os x 10.
Packaging/appearance
0 dated 30/07/2015 the drivers downloaded from the inateck website were version 3.
The reason is that plugging the 20-pin plug into the 20-pin card socket might not be easy.
Competitiveness
Speeds much faster than usb2 - usually twice as fast.
Easy to install and works with no problem in my pc / hackintosh build.
Card was installed in a macpro 5,1 and initially worked as expected but stopped working a few hours later.
Installed in a macpro 3,1 all is fine.

Card was installed in a macpro 51 and initially worked as expected but stopped working a few hours later

Attached a portable ssd drive and transfer speed was good but after a few hours the drive was suddenly ejected and the card no longer recognises any usb devices even though the card still shows up as working in the system profiler and devices are powered

Some have commented that drives dont unmountmount properly when the computer is put to sleep

This was pretty flaky on the main usb connectors i used to have to keep turning it off and on again after sleep to get the computer to recognise it again but it hasnt done this yet when connected to this card fingers crossed

I put the card in my wifes windows 7 pc and it worked fine so i bought the inateck card for my pc and it worked perfectly with ubuntu 14
