Packaging/appearance
Came with rain cover and so many pockets.
Fully packed with shoes, clothes, toiletries and laptop it came to less than 8 kg.
I would also imagine that for anyone who is packing heavily into this bag, the lack of a load bearing hip strap might be an issue.

Competitiveness
Overall i highly recommend this backpack, as it's much cheaper than it's competitors but still held up amazingly well.
I don't know if more expensive 40l bags handle this better though.

Where materials could be better though was in the lack of better back ventilation as in hot weather i found my back to get heated just as fast any closelyworn backpack
