Ive replaced my computer a number of times over the years sometimes planned other times not so much with the result that i have a drawer full of hard drives that i always intended to someday install internally to see if there were any files pictures or videos that i still wanted

Other than a few photos i had forgotten about i discovered that there wasnt actually anything worth recovering but the low quality of the data on my hard drives doesnt diminish the utility of this docking station

Summary a functional and smart looking usb3 compatible sata hard drive adaptor that works well with macs and has a good data transfer rate

The drive loaded into the adaptor appears on the computer after a short pause during which the device is recognised by the computer and default drivers are loaded by the system

Theres no need for custom drivers at least for windows 10 or osx 10
