Actually better than the cable system i was using in many ways except that if you have laptop hd housings you cannot remove because the screws are stripped you are sol because they wont fit

Theres no need for custom drivers at least for windows 10 or osx 10

The first is a 2011 machine that only supports usb2 the second from 2013 with usb3

Ive replaced my computer a number of times over the years sometimes planned other times not so much with the result that i have a drawer full of hard drives that i always intended to someday install internally to see if there were any files pictures or videos that i still wanted

Other than a few photos i had forgotten about i discovered that there wasnt actually anything worth recovering but the low quality of the data on my hard drives doesnt diminish the utility of this docking station
