Pros
Write speeds of 826mbps and reads of 869mbps so using it as a working drive for 4k footage is no problem. Did sustained test with 5gb files and no issue on mac over thunderbolt3.
Cons
With the 4th unit the 'cut-outs' in the outer case where the lights (on the inner case component) for drive activity show through have not been manufactured properly - so the drive activity lights are not visible. Same for the 2nd.

Quality
Quality is nice and it looks the part on my desk.
Build quality is good and the fit is excellent.
I left everything as it arrived, didn’t mess with the switches, and the drives appeared as 2 individual disks.
Competitiveness
Setup was easy and has provided me with a 1tb usb-c raid-1 storage facility.
I have two samsung 1tb ssd's in mine and it works very, very well.
Anything bigger than 7mm won’t fit so don’t try.
I installed 2 x 2tb seagate drives in the caddy.

The idea of job raid 0 raid 1 or individual disks if too good to overlook in a compact and portable size
