From the sizing chart available at the time of my order a 4xl was the size i chose and it fits loose enough to wear comfortably over a base layer andor cycling shorts while not too bulky just wearing alone

I already had bought some baleaf bib tights that in xl were a little larger than i needed so i returned them for a l and was happy although they were a smidge tight
