I dont think the company ship all the people the right cartridge because i order this and it fits my j450dw so the company might be making mistake when they pull the cartridge and package it i have change all 4 of my ink cartridge and these work great if you order this for j450dw make sure to read the number on the cartridge it should say the black says blc103bk xl and color needs to say blc103m xl before opening the ink cartridge package check to make sure it has the right number on it i will post photos to show what it should look like

It arrived right on time and everything looks good the product is as it says it is and nothing was damaged in the mail

This problem was obviated by not touching the point where the ink exits

You have to cut and dig the cover from the ink input before installing
