The magnet is strong and the pieces weren't too small. The pawn are smaller so the magnet is smaller but still hold on to the board. Nice drawer action.
Cons
Pieces are barely magnetized and smaller than states in dimensions. It feels like rough, flimsy particle board. Drawers are hard to open and close. Box is walnut-style with no markings, pictures or even titles.

Bought this on sale for $20 and after seeing it in person it is only worth $20.
I got mine for (i think) $14, so take this into consideration.
Not "fine art" like some sets, but reasonably priced.

Amazon was great, sending me another set the next day.

It was not dented, the pieces were flat and properly magnetic, and the handle on the drawer was fine.

When i was trying to open the drawers to get the white and black pieces it wouldn’t budge so i forced it pretty hard to open and i thought i broke it

It was smaller than i anticipated however i did not take note of the dimensions which was my mistake
