The problem i was having was i replaced the original halogen bulbs with led lights which only drew 1

3 watts each and when i turned them on using the old transformer they no longer worked

So this replaced a transformer that was apparently looking for more draw which the halogen bulb gives so if i wanted the old one to work i needed to have at least one halogen bulb in one of the lights
