Pros
New 1hp model surpasses our old, replaced, 3/4 hp insinkererator disposal. It is super easy to connect up to your sink and drain lines. I am not a fan of the quick disconnects, but they make sense for people who don't really know about plumbing.
This one in louder than old, but also more power. It's yet quieter than this one ever was. It beats some of the other disposals i've had in terms of being able to grind up food scraps without sounding like a demolition team is in your kitchen.
It works perfectly, chews everything up just like you want it to. I don't have to pick chunks out of it that it won't chop up. The disposal works great, chewing through food waste with no problem.
This is a huge step up in power for us at 1hp and i feel much safer being back with a brand that i have trust in. I'm not usually one that cares about brand name, but this is an exception. Amazon customer service is great as usual.
This insinkerator power series model exceeds our requirements. Our old disposal is probably 15 years old so time for the upgrade. The 7 year limited service warranty is an added bonus.
Cons
The garbage disposal is fine but the new and improved wiring is a joke. It struggles with larger scraps, jams frequently, and has a weak motor. It's noisy and doesn't grind efficiently.

I installed it myself using the existing dishwasher hookup and having to slightly modify the main discharge pipe to account for about an 1
