Of course if i had to id use them in a automotive way id use some black plastic plumbers tape

Id connect the wires then wrap the unit until it was water tight

The lid does seem to come off easily and so if it is in a location where this is an issue i would think about securing it a little better

This product basically almost cut my car on fire i don’t recommend this for anyone because it is poorly manufactured with junk parts all my fittings and nuts were tight as could be by recommended torque settings this product failed miserably

I had to reseat the set screws on my other fuse about once every three months and eventually is simply failed
