Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The wire coating is supple enough to make routing this around this easy. Quality strippers remove the insulation cleanly and the copper strands twist and tin nicely for connectivity. Was easy enough to split conductors.

For 12ga extremely pliable and lay flat. Fit perfectly snug into these good quality banana plugs. Finished with a 12 gauge wire stripper.

Cons

It's a sad shame when we have to pay such a price for products. It’s really annoying and time consuming. Its sad actually. Sadly it seems the design quality has gone way down.

The roll simply did not have 30 feet of wire on it. In the end, after creating four 6 foot lengths of wire i was left with no extra because an entire 4 feet had been destroyed in the separating process. The whole 25 ft is a waste.

Part of the issue is that there's very little sheathing between the wires. Even a razor cut is no good. Don't just pull it apart. The rubber or whatever soft touch material they surround the copper with is terrible.

Quality

Copper quality seems good based on visual inspection and how it handles both in its length and once stripped and twisted.

Great quality speaker cable and flexible outer jacket.

I have used many types of wire and in expensive banana plugs and and was never really satisfied with the fit.

Don't buy it if you can't live with the price.

Price

The price is as good as i can find.

Competitiveness

I am not running a competition anything, for everyday average joe's, this is all you need.

Comes packaged as a wire pair for the phase and return of tyhe speaker.

Do not be affraid of this being a generic brand.

Might have been a little short of 30ft but not much.

This is very thick stranded pure copper speaker wire

Started split with utility knife and then pulled conductors apart

I see many photos saying the they cannot separate the color coded wires easily

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

They might have put a knife in the middle to do that

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

But you dont need to put a knife in the middle just use your hands to separate the two wires

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Im not a fan of speaker binding posts or unnecessar spades bananas or other terminations and prefer to drill a small hole in my speaker back and wire direct to each crossover

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Speaker wire is an antenna so going heavier gauge is not better for runs under 30 feet in most cases

Do not be affraid of this being a generic brand
