Reasons for having extra pot 1 the original contains leftover and is being stored in the fridge and you need another to cook 2 you might want to pressure cook different things one after the other separately like softening the beans and cooking pasta or making main meal like stew and making desserts like cake 3 the original pot is in the dishwasher and you couldnt wait for the washing cycle to finish
