Pros
Air fryer is a great way to save money on an electric cooker. Cleaning the basket and tray is quick and easy. It cooks everything you want well and quickly.
It only takes 2 minutes to preheat. Great for chips and chicken nuggets. Lovely roasted veg and homemade oven chips from fresh potatoes.
Cons
The unit is okay but some significant usability design flaws. I think like many other people i thought this would be like a mini electric oven, it's far from it.
A lack of quick selection functions is very confusing. This only adds to confusion and you end by only selecting manual time and temperature. Annoying but whatever.
Think it is the silicon spacers on the tray. The non stick tray from the bottom of the basket falls out and flings chips in every direction. The basket should not be immersed in water or machine washed.
The top gloss plastic is incredibly prone to scratching. Simply wiping with a soft cotton cloth for the first time was enough to leave noticeable swirl marks on the top and front gloss plastic. Water will collect in between the glass and the plastic f... Read More

I tried chips from raw and par boil coated with oil but found them to be blotchy and nothing like chip shop

I think its easy enough to just deep fry raw chips in any pan anyway

If buying and using for the first time they are very fast compared to oven hence they can burn food or dry it out only use will allow you to gauge the timings needed

I tried and although i got it in the draw the heating ring burnt the top so had to put the oven on

Roast chicken in under 50 minutes skin side down for first 30 minutes let the chicken rest for 20 minute under some foil whilst you cook some aunt bessies goose fat roast potatoes in under 20 minute with some shop bought yorkies on top of the potatoes for the last 4 minutes
