By design part of the drive is open i guess if you didnt want to lock away data the encrypted part is password protected and is accessed by the usual log in procedure

It was my first time purchasing an encrypted flash drive and i thought it would be more straight forward to use from what i have gathered you have to select and move the documents you want secured into a different folder

My fix is to create files outside the secure area then copy in once finished
