Pros

This * is fast and reliable. When i was done and started it for the first time i was stunned at the speed difference.

Ssd drive is so much more stable and faster than tranditional harddrive. Connected the ssd with a sata to usb 2. Can't gone wrong with intel's ssd. Can be used to store datum data.

Worked great (plug-and-play), is very fast, and was very reasonably priced. It's a great drive indeed, but the seller almost ruins it with all the bs. No complaints whatsoever.

Cons

As of dec 2014 intel responses have indicated they are still working on it. Intel support says it's a apple issue and they won't fix it.

The sled is a rather raw steel sheet bent to the shape of a sled. Intel is the only company that will not provide a bootable solution to wipe any of their ssd's.

I did not get this with the transfer adapter to move the old hard drives contents and had to order that separately, otherwise it was fine.

Price

5 year of reliability - it really cost this price.

But the price point on the 530 makes it very desirable to upgrade an old system at a fair price.

Competitiveness

I bought a number of these drives to use in a blackmagic design hyperdeck.

This laptop has two drive bays so i have this ssd in the main bay plus a 750gb sshd data drive in the other bay.

This drive seems to be competitively priced.

And by not the fastest i mean they are maybe 10% slower than the competition.
