Pros
Lga1700 6 core and still very relavent for gaming. Running alot cooler gets to like 65c under load with a noctua dh-15s. The efficiency of this chip is stellar.

Installation was breeze, works really well for gaming, temps are great as well, no problems intel a+++
- great overclocks, overclocked it to test and it is a champ, even with a cheap thermalright cooler it still works amazing.
I bought my 12600k when they first came out and is the first intel chip i have ever had.
It barely feels like it's working when i'm on the pc.
Price
Great price when i bought it as well!
Glad we chose this affordable & reliable chip.
For the price, you cant get better.
Got these on prime days, cheaper than the i5-12400.
Competitiveness
I think intel has become much more competitive now in terms of price/performance.
I'm coming from a 2nd gen i5 to this so needless to say anything is better in comparison.
If you do a search, you will find many forum posts about ryzen cpu failures especially since the 3000 and 5000 series chips.
The overclock potential is also much higher than amd chips, you can easily push it if needed.

Most people would probably buy this cpu for gaming but i decided to throw it in my server since it has lots of cores and intels best igpu

Already had a solid set of 4x8 cl14 3600mhz and 7000 series amd would have required ddr5 and set me back an additional 150
