Pros

This thing plows through everything i throw at it. It is super fast with no lagging. It's extremely fast and handles any process.

Using the processor on a new intel dz68db motherboard. Box comes with everything you need, which isn't much more than some documentation and a sticker. In-1 card reader, blu ray burner, and a 7.

I reused the original fan/heatsink. Don't forget to get thermal paste. Though, beware that this thing runs hot.

This processor is fantastic. Great performance. I highly recommend it to anyone else.

Intel's i7-2600 (without the k) processor is a fantastic goto for building an esx whitebox. Faster boot up than old i5.

Cons

The p4 cooler can't keep the cpu cooler than 55c or so at idle.

Awesome and reliable, it's worth the step up from i3!

It's now inching 2019, one more year and it'll have lasted in top quality for a decade.

The chip stays cool even with everything running and unless i am doing a burn-in test the processor never needed to kick into 3.

Price

~$170 was really an excellent deal for a sandybridge i7.

I highly recommend it to anyone else who is willing to pay the high price for it.

What can i say, got this at a good price $279.

Finally, i went with the intel i7-2600, corsair 16 gb ddrs3 sdram, asus lga 1155 motherboard and corsair enthusiast 750-watt power supply.

But if you compare prices on both processors, they are about the same price.

It's the chip equivalent of a '65 mustang.
