thermal compound is pre-applied to the copper contact surface on the heat sink/fan. Overclocks with ease even with the included oem fan. No overheating problems and overclock works perfectly, though i doubt you'll ever need to use it.

This is the stable non-k 4770 version, which means it's slightly cheaper than the 4770k because it isn't over-clockable. I use my machine for a lot of parallel number crunching and have found it to be quite fast.

Cons

The box says intel 4770. I look at the cpu closely and realize that underneath the made in vietnamese sticker there are two stickers.

Time in use: 17 months of mostly web surfing and gaming.

Bought this in 2014, and still today this cpu is still rocking any game i play.

Price

I upgraded my cpu from a two-core model to this 4-core (8-thread) screamer for under $200.

I just kept it since i didn't plan on overclocking the other anyway i was just getting it for a really good price.
