I do not own one of these bad boys yet but just to point something outlooking at the side of the box i think there is a minor typing error on intels part because it lists that this processor has 6 cores when in fact it is an 8core or octacore extreme edition cpu

Great product with not so great priceperformance ratio but if you are pro and if you preffere fastest singleprocessor machine against multiprocessors rigs multiprocessor motherboards are much more expensive than x99 boards this is the way to go

Cost is over 1k which alligns with previous generation extreme edition processors

The first generation i7 990x extreme edition released q1 2011 only just got surpassed last year by the 4770k i7 non extreme edition

Great cpu is a small step up from 3960x i found it ok to cool but not quiet as good as small overclocks as the previous model which ran rock solid even overclocked
