If you turn on intel side step (throttling) mode, the stock cooler is sufficient. With the big shuriken 3, temperatures rarely go over 70c, so there is a big difference. Temp is constant 50 plus or minus with an average water cooler.

It keeps chugging. Intel always has a way more refined feel to it, graceful.

For these generation of boards, which are now obsolete, this is the best buy in this scenario. Even if it's about 2 generations behind, it's still a great cpu. Good upgrade from an amd quad core phenom machine.
