If your main focus is getting the highest possible fps in games, this is the cpu for you. Thermals are quite good - under 30c idle when cooled with a h100 platinum liquid cooler. This is so much cooler than the 9700k it replaces.

Sure it’s overpriced but you can’t get a better cpu for gaming
