It is cooled with a large air cooler and works great even under load, overclocked with the motherboard (asus) software.
Price
The only down side is the price.
The price i received on it was pretty awesome too.
Competitiveness
7 on all cores, got an aorus aio liquid cooler cooling it and it has never seen 50 celsius.
