Pros & Cons
Pros
The install is a little bit of a pain in the *, however, that is dells fault as the placed the wifi card directly under the keyboard instead of the underside of the laptop. Great investment to allow and older model laptop or computer to use 2.
Bluetooth also works fine. Then in an anti-static bubble wrap bag.
The speed is at least double what it was, and acts much more responsively. Very good speeds when close to the router. Perfect and fast shipping.
Cons
The card stops working every few hours (still connected to ap but not passing frames) the only solution is to disable and reenable the adapter (radio off/on) the jitter is awful, going into 1000ms+ and with the router next to it, i see no improvement ... Read More
Totally unusable. Even after a bios upgrade it comes back saying it's an unrecognized card.
Highlights
Quality
Exactly as ordered couldn't be more happier with the product.
And i'm getting 60-70 mbps in my room on 5 ghz, which used to only about 15-20 mbps with the old 2.
Connected speed varies a lot though which might be more an issue with signal quality than the device itself.
Update 6/1/16:pros:setup my new asus dual-band wireless-ac3100 gigabit router (rt-ac88u) and i am quite happy with the performance.
Price
Price is good, installation was easy, and it works on linux without any extra configuration.
Shipping
It still does not have the range and stability i hoped for though it is fast when closer to the router.
Packaging/appearance
Either this card is on that list, or a recent bios update removed the whitelist.
Competitiveness
Works great with a google wifi router and also a tp-link router.
Initial testing showed connections of up to 800mbps to my engenius ac ap.
Had a bit of difficulty trying to get adapter to install on a refurb dell lattitude e5420 laptop.
4ghz band and in this location was getting around 8mbps download speed, though it would get in the high 40's or 50’sghz down wh... Read More
