Pros

Gb is a legit size for a raspberry pi os. It works great for raspberry pi as a usb startup drive. It can also be used as a tb drive for the raspberry pi.

Cons

This is the most unfriendly piece of hardware i have ever dealt with. Don't waste your money or time, they need to overhaul this entire optane, hardware and software. Was about to break my whole rig bc this * thing.

I intend to update my review if the replacement module works correctly. Apparently you need to be a computer guru to get this to work properly.

Optane is great for making a 4 tb drive much faster for very cheap.

Packaging/appearance

My apps and programs that i have tagged to the optane open and run quickly.

The first one speeds bootup while the second allows you to select which programs you want to use caching via the optane.

Competitiveness

Used this with optane with a 2tb 7200 rpm hdd as a secondary storage device and it operates just like a ssd.

Paired mine with a 4tb 7200 rpm platter drive.

But not many computers come with optane installed, though.

Cheap $70 4tb 7200 rpm hdd now has read speed of ssd.
