However if im paying 30 dollars for a bottle of hairspray the darn packaging should be adequate

If you use enough it will get crunchy which i like because thats what locks in the curls but you have to spray generously to make that happen

This is as firm as you could ask and the only other hairsprays ive used which hold this well have plasiticizers in them and neither you me nor the planet needs any more plastics in the waste stream
