This is the adapter you need if you already have the gage. The only downside is that this adapter is plastic and it will eventually break. There is a learning curve if you're used to the old style valve.

The adapter design actually pushes down the mechanism with the needle and blocks the flow of the r-134a. That mechanism is wider than the gasket on the old can tap, so as you try to attach the can tap, it starts venting before the gaskets can seal. Th... Read More
This adapter is dangerous because its design is suboptimal and the instructions on the packaging are inadequate. This thing is beyond junk.

Gave 4 stars because you have to be very careful with the thread not to over tighten, will damage it easily.
🤔 🤷 i was frustrated, and didn't know if it was a faulty gague or a faulty can.
Please do not overtighten and screw in carefully -- this product should last many years.
