Pros
The work is worth having a nice pool to relax/entertain in. It is easy to clean and very durable. Once it was all done it is an awesome pool.
Plus a day before of prepping the ground, you need to make sure it's level!
Cons
The pump isn't worth its weight in * doo and the chemicals just drop to the bottom of the pool and stay there. The pool leaked from the seams the first time we put it up. The next morning there was a leak at the seam.
The metal frame is all rusted beyond repair and the bottom has dry rot holes everywhere. All bolts on the stair have plastic cups and they unscrew daily, bolts full of rust just couple of days after use. The steel is rust prone.
Site prep is expensive and a massive amount of work to get it perfect. The t connectors are easy to manipulate, but as more are connected, the pool is less flexible and it's harder to fit the connectors together. The pegs are also a problem.

We had no trouble with the pump that came with it doing the job.
Of course even better now with the bigger pump.
Didn’t let the water down, didn’t cover it with the cover that came with it or any other winter cover and it still looks new.
Price
I love intex pools, the price was right.
Competitiveness
The pump that comes with it is not really strong enough, i just replaced it with a 2hp pump, big difference.
After having the same intex 13 ft pool for about 5 years we decided to go a little bigger.
For two years we had a smaller intex pool, then we moved up to a larger, deeper one.

The piece that attaches the hose to the intake for the filter return does not fit tightly

Several times it has slipped off as it does not clamp like the piece for the hose that take water to filter

I took my time filling it up at night so the water had time to heat up during the day after 3 days of this the water temp was 74

We love it even that the ladder that comes with it is quite wobbly and you can‘t leave it in because it starts rusting
