This model comes with 2 intakes which allows one to be a skimmer and the other about mid-height. We like that it is a sand filter, but it lacks the suction to adequately vacuum the pool. Do recommend buying a vacuum for it.

Dozens of youtube videos showing how it’s done, all praising the results. Reading the instructions was the second hardest part. Will upload video next year.

In terms of durability, the materials used in the construction of the intex pool are robust and long-lasting. The liner is much thicker, and more puncture proof, than the 12' intex pool. The frame is much sturdier too.

Cons

Never used, defective upon purchase. No resolution from intex or this third party seller. Problems with the quality and specifications of the product.

They bend badly when clamped to hoses. Both leaks were located on the seams.

The pool is great but the filter is subpar at best hardly enough to keep up with a 16’ pool. Also their 1-800 line isn’t open on weekends, when btw most people are assembling or working on their pools. Consider renting a vehicle that can hold so much ... Read More

It’s easy to keep clean and as long as you level the ground well it’s very sturdy.

30 mins later discovered it was leaking all over the place.

The darker fabric may help heat the water better and hides dirt.

The extra cost for this filter is worth it.

Update: i contacted intex directly and they sent a replacement liner covered by the warranty.
