Pros & Cons
Pros
Skimmer for a 18 x 48 coleman pool. Works great with the intex 2500gph pump. Great suction power.
For the price, it's the best purchase you can make for your pool and yourself. Definitely beneficial to have. This is the second one we have ordered of this make & model.
Easy to set up, cleans all surface debris from your pool. Grabs all the * stuff out the pool. No more skimming bugs out 3 - 4 times a day.
Cons
In the instruction manual, it said it would work with a 1000 gph intex filter pump. When it pops up the pump loses suction, which causes pump cavitation. Suction power is ok if you block off other inlet.
It doesn't matter how hard you tighten it down, the plastic arch flexes and the whole thing just floats around in its side. The plastic is flimsy and does not hold in place well. The blue skimmer itself floats too high on the water.
Not good. Followed all the instructions to a t. The instructions are far from informative.

You think the manufacturer intex would have realized this item is too light weight :(
Price
I spent about $80 for both, well worth the money.
Very happy we bought this and so inexpensive.
2 for $1 can’t beat that price.
An inexpensive bar clamp did the trick.

Personally i wish they would use metal parts covered in rubber in order to be able to really tighten the skimmer down well

It attracts loads of bugs and stuff floating on the surface of the pool but once i pull that blue cylinder out i immediately have to scoop them all up with a handskimmer
