Pros

I have an 18' above ground round poo and ive been running this for 2 seasons after the 20 year old hayward got super noisy and weak. When combined with the salt generator, this is one of the best upgrades you can make to your intex pool.

With the pandemic the center pipe is like the hardest thing to find. If you have to replace the pump shaft seal the part number is vgm-8023.

Cons

They supposedly have phone customer service from mon-fri 9-5 pst, but if you try calling during that time, a prerecorded message will inform you that the customer service lines are overwhelmed and to call back mon- fri 9- 5 pst. The website is also di... Read More

Pumps are double the price today so this is absolutely ridiculous to pay this amount only for it to work for one summer. Buyer beware **purchased this product in august 2018 and had to replace the clamp 2 weeks in.

Intex customer service is a joke. The warranty is meaningless. Beware of the bogus warranty.

Has excellent power and is easy to operate.

I love this pump we have had ours for almost five years and it is still going strong.

It worked for 7 months and stopped working .

Summer of 2019 i had to replace the power switch but this sucker ran for 5 seasons (april-oct).

Price

The price was perfect and well with it.

This has saved tons of money buying new filters for our pool.

This pump cost me an additional 350 dollars but it’s worth it !

Normally these go for about $100 here on amazon.

Shipping

Came earlier than expected and a straight forward replacement.

It was shipped through usps and i live in rural area, the postal delivery couldn't fit it in the car nor could she lift it.

Packaging/appearance

Probally defective, however, i couldn't find an affordable replacement pump so i held on to it and prayed.

I should open the box to make sure everything is in there that needs to be, but so far it just was delivered.

Competitiveness

It does not compare to any of the other pool pumps.
