Pros

The eero mesh app is well designed and easy to manage devices on. I use that to get my philips hue hub centrally located (low power like zig bee needs that) not too shabby performance for an ipad air. Reserving ip addresses and discovering the ip addr... Read More

The eero pro 6e has a strong wifi signal throughout the house. My phone now tests at around 40-50mbps on wi-fi, where before it was 25 or 30 on a good day. My current gateway (modem +wifi router) which is garbage (50mbps) has 4 ethernet plugs.

The eero mesh allows you to connect to the internet from anywhere in the house. You can also connect to any printer on the network. Great coverage in the barn and garage. Amazon surfboard is a great alternative to xfinity.

More improvement to the beacon out there. Placement of the satellites is not a guessing game.

The house is about 2800 sq ft. Two doorways connecting at each level. Ranch with a detached garage and a 1,500 sq.

Cons

Tried it, got some signal in back room but degraded the signal everywhere else. It drops devices randomly from the wifi. Daily the wifi craps out and drops from 300 mbps down to 6 mbps.

The app is completely useless. It hides the actual site they visited. And with unreliable internet service ( thank you sp*ctr*m for unreliable 0.

Eero satellites only deliver half the bandwidth of the primary unit via wireless backhaul. I have gigabit fiber internet & not a single time experienced satisfactory speeds.

Quality

This has been the most stable and while the interface is limited in terms of some of the advanced features, the system works great!

Wifi signal is very strong throughout the house - powering 7 tvs, three computers, downloads, etc.

The firmware was upgraded and basically made the system unstable.

Worked great for 15 months and now it keeps disconnecting from the internet.

Price

It’s got a great price point for the value of equipment you are getting.

The big discount during prime day tempting me into finally going mesh.

I was expecting more with the price purchase on these devices, otherwise i would have given a 5 star review.

It may not be cheap but you won’t regret it.

Amazon transferred my call to return the units to eero tech support at 9pm on a saturday night.

Packaging/appearance

The unboxing and setup of the router and 2 satellites was easy!

Competitiveness

By comparison, hooking up ring cameras and liftmaster garage door openers was straightforward.

We have tried all the well known brands on the market and none of them comes close to the eero.

We previously had a nighthawk mesh system and i wasn’t sure how the eero would compare, it’s 100 times better.

The eero system was simple enough to setup, similar to the decos, but it just simply works.
