Pros

Eero router works great for me. I've used asus, netgear, unifi routers and deco mesh systems. Firmware updates are quick and easy. The speed on my 1 gig internet plan is perfect. Ethernet.

Eero pro 6 is a big step up from the commodity wifi access points and most isp devices.

This is not the fastest wifi around but the coverage is outstanding. I am happy with the stability and the fact that i do not need to tinker with the router settings every once in a while to get it right.

App is awesome but there needs to be some improvements. Streaming experience is fantastic but i cannot say anything about games since i don't play them. Also a shout to the app.

Customer service is exemplary. Was completely seamless. Overall happy. Was pleasantly surprised.

Cons

Barely better than the actiontec t3200m with two booster units. The app was buggy, performance isn't even close to meeting what was advertised.

The eero pro 6 still refuses to allow itself to be added to my system as the new gateway. While they work just fine as new extenders, it defeats the purpose for any existing eero customer. Do yourself a favor and do research on why the other options l... Read More

Two ports is ridiculous for the price of this router considering one needs to serve as the wan port, essentially necessitating a separate ethernet port if you want more ports. Wifi signal is poor.

The router has issues keeping the connection which necessitates often restarting it. There's zero reason why the app shouldn't be able to connect to the router to restart it.

Guys if you are having issues with your wifi do not hesitate to get the eero pro 6 the only cons is the price!

However buying at full price is worth it too after using for a month.

So it’s worth the monthly cost for me .

However, wi-fi speeds were not as fast as i expected.

Lastly packaging is great and it’s super easy to setup!

Competitiveness

From the switch i have a cat6 cable going to each eero router.

I primarily bought this router so that all my homekit devices are cordoned off from accessing the internet and it does that perfectly.

I had terrible connection to my wifi printer, a wemo switch, and lifx lights.

I ordered cat6 ethernet cabling and presto, my eero is pushing 350mbps (that's my internet package speed).
