Pros

The eero pro 6e mesh wi-fi system is a game-changer when it comes to home wi- fi. The only issue i have is with the lack of a standard router login and web interface. The price for a 6e router is pretty unbeatable.

Speed is much improved. After this upgrade we get 10x speeds on wifi 6e compatible devices. Use the 5. Ghz or 5 ghz band instead of switching to another router.

The good-the units work well. Everything works easy and reliably. The possible negatives-they run hot. The drawback is that they run cold.

Setup is simple via app. App is capable. One glaring aspect was a bit of a bombshell to me.

Cons

The quality of these devices appears to have deteriorated under amazon's stewardship. Getting eero support on the phone has been very difficult.

The issue with the setup is something with the app itself. That by itself is not a critical issue to me, as long as the app provides sufficient capabilities, but it does not. No options for a chat session.

First off, the setup for eero literally took 120 seconds.

Price

Caught an insane refurbished 3 pack for $299 plus tax.

I ordered one for $69; i'll have it 31-aug-2024.

This wasn't so bad at first since we had a really good promo with spectrum, but once that ended -oh boy- services got expensive!

Shipping

Once i connected the first eero to the basic isp (internet service provider) router i waited about 30 seconds.

So we bought and received 2 eero units later that day.

As soon as it was set up (took about 20 minutes) everything was fast.

Otherwise, the eero 7 may be worth the steep cost for the improved 5 & 6ghz range.
