My path lights always work, rain or shine. The dim always on at night setting is the perfect thing to guid people towards your walkway. It is very difficult to find affordable marine grade path lighting, but these ring lights are sealed.

It takes 4 d-size batteries, and i use the rechargeable type. I have a 2nd set that i swap out and recharge - saves lots of money in the end. Only downside is 2 d batteries per light.

These lights are fantastic! First of all they are solid and put out a ton of light when they come on. These are well built, and seem quite hardy.

They aren't any better even when set at the dimmest level and only working when motion is sensed. They are not waterproof. The rain gets into the battery compartment and the water corrupts the contacts.

I was completely frustrated by ring’s stunningly poor customer service - until i got nudged to the second tier. And not one constructive suggestion from a ring employee on the chatboard to these complaints.

Highly disappointed in this product. Would not recommend to anyone. Pathetic stuff, amazon.

November two more failed batteries, in brand new units. Battery life unknown at this point.
