Whether it's battery, plug in, or hardwired, the camera is the same. We use ring doorbells since they came up with them. Easily mounted under the soffit after reading the instructions and flipping the bracket to overhead vs wall (vertical) mounting.
Great view from my patio. Nighttime vision is vastly improved.

If not you can remove the usbc cord and put in battery to convert it to the battery model

Note that this also changes the camera from wired mode to battery mode and comes with some limitations such as reduced motion zone and motion sensitivity etc

Just motion setting needs to be fine tuned some as well as the light feature

Only downside is install while mostly easy is marred by sub par design which makes using the tiny “security” screw virtually impossible and the ball clamp screw very hard to use

Managed both after 40minutes of swearing and neither really worked 100 but got it done
