You have to make sure the camera connects to your home wifi via the ring chime unit, or directly to your wifi router. You can arrange what area you want the camera to focus on.

Full wireless connectivity makes it easy to set up. I wish they had onboard memory to buffer some video when upload speed isn't great or during short outages. Nice crisp view of whole yard.

Setting up the ring spotlight cam was a breeze. Easily lights up our townhome back porch. Installed due to vandalism in alley.

Device is unable to connect standard 2. Troubleshot it for a few hours 1 foot from my wifi. The battery gets low after 6 days.

Do not waste money on ring, use nest or something else. Feel like i was scammed. Absolutely regret purchasing this. Dissatisfied with performance of product.
