Installed and restarted win11. Open your device manager and go to ide ata/atapi controllers. Mount the card again and apply the driver to that controller. Just plug and play in my systems so far.

This pcie x1 slot is on the pch chipset. Easy to install in a pci ex x4 or larger slot. Helps keep an older board going for a great home lab.
Cons
I have a blu-ray burner hooked up to this device and it cannot burn no matter what i try. Not recognized by motherboard. I used 4 cards in 4 gigabyte motherboards & they all hang after restart.
One or two of the drives randomly disappearing from windows. The cables sent with the drive are trash. I have no idea if it supports optical drives.
Amazon shipped it, you need to talk to them. Do not recommend. No worth trouble of returning.
Same result. Made absolutely no sense relative to my question.

But when build the config file during the 34satamap34 step it will say it is 24 ports and 5678 are not working

Since there are only 4 ports on this anyway so just put in 4 when asked

Doesnt do anything for the traditional nas hdds i have but it allows me to pass them through to my truenas core vm on proxmox which has been rock solid
