But i needed a new case and thought i would try something different so i invested in a shatterproof screen protector and also purchased the bentoben iphone 5case

First of all though be aware that the layers of the case do not come apart

It doesn’t make that very clear in the description and could easily be mistaken for a dual layer case on par with the otterbox “commuter” case but that is not accurate

The black outer layer and metallic inner layer are connected and can not be pulled apart

There is also no protection over the screen itself so despite the case having similar styling do not mistake it for the otterbox defender series

That also means it will not provide the level of protection that an otterbox commuter or defender would provide
