Let me start by pointing out that this is a bumper and not a full on case

What that means is that this is not full on protection and if you are rough on your phone this is not the case for you

The bumper helps absorb the shock if it is dropped on an edge and there is a slight lip so that if the phone is dropped face down the screen wont get hit

At first this seems like a neat idea to keep dirt or debris from getting into those crevices but after moving the flap from the charging port and charging once the flap stays bent and never goes back to cover the hole
