Generally the magnet is strong enough that the device doesnt fall off but its distracting to have something wobbling there above the dash
A minor problem is that the the arm is so long that the phone or gps device kind of bounces around
But this doesnt even stick as well as the mount we were replacing because it fell off every week or so
