Unfortunately you have to put the device where you can see it to get ir line of sight but the lights on the front are very bright and are detracting

There is also a switch button on the device itself should you ever misplace it

The only thing that was very disappointing is that it does not turn my tv on automatically like all the other products doif this feature worked i would have given a 5star

I was leary about this unit because it was so inexpensive but on the other hand the expensive ones didnt work so i tried it

I contacted the jtech customer support folks and within 24 hours they explained the auto switching feature and told me if i didnt like that feature that they had a different box without that feature
