J-tech digital jtddbsw0301. Solved my problem with an easy hookup. Does what is should but i have to unplug the power cord to shut it off.
Sennheiser headphones work as advertised. Works with dts system and to my headphones. Only problem is static on headphone when there is no source input. Works great for a capella music.

J-tech digital obviously has excellent design engineers, but of late excellence ends there. Does not pass/combine all audio from the toslink in to the left & right audio out. Voice channel missing on many dvd's.
